About Our Speakers
Edward Lee Isler is a native of the Washington Metropolitan Area and is a founding partner of IslerDare PC (formerly Ray & Isler, PC and Isler Dare Ray Radcliffe & Connolly, PC). Prior to establishing the Firm in 1997, Eddie spent seven years practicing labor, employment, and employee benefits law in Washington, D.C. with a national firm, Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, and two years with a regional firm, Kruchko & Fries. Before beginning private practice, Eddie served a one-year term as judicial clerk to the Honorable James C. Turk, Chief Judge for the United States District Court, Western District of Virginia.
Eddie has achieved national recognition as a leading employment law attorney and maintains an outstanding reputation as an advocate for his clients’ interests in and out of the courtroom. He is a past Chair of the Virginia Bar Association Labor and Employment Law Section and of the Planning Committee for the Virginia CLE Annual Employment Law Update. Over the years, he has been named Super Lawyer, Best Lawyer, and Lawyer of the Year for his varied expertise.
Edward received his law degree from the College of William & Mary, Marshall-Wythe School of Law J.D. and his B.A., American Government, B.A. Economics from the University of Virginia, B.A., American Government, B.A. Economics.
Lori H. Turner, Partner at IslerDare PC, has experience in advising and counseling clients in a wide range of labor and employment issues including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Act of 1866, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Equal Pay Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, wage and hour claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act, privacy and security requirements under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act, the Consumer Credit Protection Act, and state garnishment and support orders. Lori also reviews and drafts employment agreements such as separation agreements, non-competition agreements, non-solicitation agreements, confidentiality/trade secret agreements, and executive employment agreements.
